How it works
- The ratio is width : height reduced by their greatest common divisor — 1920×1080 becomes 16:9.
- Scaling keeps that ratio: new height = new width × (height ÷ width).
- Common presentation ratios are 16:9 (widescreen, the default in PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides) and 4:3 (older projectors).
- Rounding to whole pixels can shift a ratio very slightly; that is normal and invisible on screen.

What size is a 16:9 slide in pixels?+
